On My Way to Work
I know I'm blogging like a madman, there's no need to point that out. I just remembered that I wanted to post some photos of where I work.

This river runs underneath the bridge that I have to bike over on the way to work.

This is the building that I work in, the "Minakurukan". It's a local government building and the name quite literally means "the building that everyone comes to". It houses, among other things, a full-sized library as well as the offices of numerous local bureaucrats. There are two offices in the building that house officials from the ministry of education and I am one of them. The building is quite new and very nice.

There are statues of all seven dwarves outside of the Minakurukan. I have no idea why.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarves are so popular in Japan -- I have no idea why either -- but it was true when I was there too. Maybe because she is the dark haired princess? (I always lover her the best, too) I saw a really bizarre Japanese made cartoon (feature length) here in Germany where they combined the stories of Snow White and the Frog Prince into one. Sorry, we just went to Disneyworld so it's all fresh in my mind. LOL. I am looking over some of these older posts that I missed. Great stuff, Mehan.
